February 7 to 11, 2025
First space for strengthening community oversight processes in Southern Bolívar.
In the framework of a joint project with the Ideas for Peace Foundation, the first space for exchange and strengthening of community oversight processes in southern Bolívar was held in Chaparral (Tolima), with the participation of 20 leaders and leaderesses from the municipalities of Cantagallo, San Pablo, Santa Rosa, Simití, Yondó, Arenal and Morales.

National Dialogue with leaders and leaderesses of the Confluence of Southern Bolívar and Southern Tolima
Within the framework of a joint project with the Ideas for Peace Foundation, a national meeting was held with leaders and leaderesses from the Confluence of Southern Bolívar and Southern Tolima. The event was attended by 11 leaders from the municipalities of Ataco, Chaparral, Rioblanco, Planadas y Cantagallo, San Pablo, Santa Rosa, Simití, Yondó, Arenal and Morales.

Co-hosting of high-level workshop with Northwestern University on lessons from peace negotiations around the world
The Buffett Institute for Global Affairs at Northwestern University and the Fundación Acordemos decided to join forces to hold a symposium on April 3-4, 2025, in the city of Chicago in which they convened diplomats, negotiators, experts and academics, many with direct experience in peace negotiations over the past decades in cases such as Northern Ireland, Colombia, the Balkans, South Sudan, Russia-Ukraine, Israel-Palestine, Afghanistan and others, to identify lessons from these peace processes that may be useful for future negotiations and consistent in the face of the apparent crisis of multilateralism in peace matters.

The process of strengthening community capacities for dialogue, oversight, and advocacy began to design a community agreement as a point of contention for the replanting of illicit crops in this territory.

The community perspective in the monitoring of the implementation of the Peace Agreement on illicit crops.
As part of a technical accompaniment process to the Office of the Attorney General Delegate for the Follow-up to the Peace Agreement, a national dialogue was held with leaders and leaderesses of the National Confluence. The objective of the meeting was to gather and analyze inputs on the implementation of the National Program for the Integral Substitution of Illicit Crops (PNIS), as a contribution to the construction of the Seventh Follow-up Report on the implementation of the Peace Agreement, which will be presented to the Congress of the Republic at the beginning of the next legislature.

Spaces on coexistence and reconciliation in the framework of the reincorporation process in the Caribbean region. Yemen delegation visit.
In the framework of the work carried out by the Lessons Learned and Peace Negotiations Advisory area of Fundación Acordemos, an exchange exercise with a delegation from Yemen, convened by the Sana'a Center and DeepRoots, took place in the village of Conejo, municipality of Fonseca, department of La Guajira. The objective of the visit was to gain firsthand knowledge about the dynamics of reconciliation and coexistence in the context of the reincorporation process in this territory, which is recognized as one of the 26 transitional zones defined in the 2016 Peace Agreement for the laying down of weapons and transition to civilian life of former FARC-EP members.

Study visit by a delegation from the Republic of Yemen
Fundación Acordemos organized a visit focused on peacebuilding in Colombia with a delegation from Yemen that included representatives from the Sana'a Center and DeepRoot Consulting. The goal was to exchange experiences and gain a deeper understanding of the lessons learned in Colombia that could be applied to peace and stability efforts in Yemen.
